Lebanon: Israeli Airstrike Hits Beirut Seafront, Killing Several

An Israeli airstrike struck the Ramlet al-Baida area along Beirut's seafront in the early hours of Thursday, March 12, killing at least seven people and wounding 21 others, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. Hundreds of displaced civilians had been sheltering at the beach after receiving Israeli evacuation warnings for Beirut's southern suburbs and southern Lebanon. Video shared on social media showed scenes of chaos along the promenade.

US: Highways Turn to Rivers After Powerful Storms Batter North Texas

Severe thunderstorms tore across North Texas on the night of Wednesday, March 4, causing widespread damage and historic rainfall totals. Roofs were ripped apart, highways were submerged, and neighborhoods were left reeling in the aftermath. Torrential downpours led to dangerous flash flooding, especially along Interstate 45 in Hutchins. Footage shared online shows sections of the freeway transformed into what appears to be a flowing river, with multiple vehicles stranded.

The No. 5 main tower of the Xihoumen highway-railway bridge on the Ningbo-Zhoushan Railway was topped out on Tuesday, making it the first one of its kind to be topped out along the entire railway line. At a height of 294 meters, roughly that of a 100-story building, the tower sets a new world record for the tallest bridge tower built in the sea.
